Singapore Tour Itinerary - 5 Days with Kids
by Kalpesh
(Mumbai, Maharashtra, India)
Hi, can you plan a 5-day Singapore tour itinerary which includes the following things: 1) Arrival at 7.30am on 27 April 2010 at airport and departing at 10pm on 1 May 2010 by train. 2) Jurong Bird Park, Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Sentosa, Universal Studios (on 30 April), Clark Quay and Singapore River Cruise, Singapore Science Centre, Snow City, Singapore Flyer, Orchid Garden, Museum, Mustafa Centre, Little India, Orchard Road, Chinatown optional, Suntec City Mall. You can suggest something else better and can miss out the not-very-interesting ones. We are 4 adults and 4 kids. Basically arrange so that we cover a particular area at the same time. We'll be highly obliged if you can work out a Singapore tour itinerary for us. Thank you and looking forward for your reply. |
Hi Kalpesh
FREE CITY MAP
Upon arrival at the Singapore Airport, approach the Singapore Visitors' Centre at the Arrival Hall and ask for a free city map. This will help you get around throughout your Singapore tour. I've arranged the itinerary so that you places close to one another are visited one after the other.
SUGGESTED 5-DAY SINGAPORE TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1 Afternoon-Evening: Singapore City & Singapore River
After leaving your luggage at your hotel, take the MRT to City Hall Station.
Follow the directional signs to Citylink Mall and onward to Suntec City Mall. There are shops here for everyone, including a few good toy shops.
The Singapore Flyer is just a short walk from Suntec City.
Thereafter back-track to Millenia Walk, Marina Square and finally to the Esplanade Waterfront Promenade, where you may take the Singapore River Cruise by Hippo Tours.
Thereafter, proceed to the Merlion Park for photo-taking against the city skyline. From the Merlion Park, you could do the later part of this Singapore River Walking Tour, which will take you all the way to Clarke Quay Singapore.
Have dinner at one of the riverside restaurants at Clarke Quay.
Day 1 Tip: Duck/Hippo Tours at Suntec City Galleria may have a Flyer-and-Cruise Tour Combo that may give you some discount.
Day 2 - Jurong Bird Park, Science Centre & Snow City
Day 2's attractions are located in Jurong and may be visited together on this itinerary: Singapore Tour to Jurong Attractions.
Day 2 Tip: Since you are visiting the Bird Park, the Zoo and the Night Safari, buy the 3-in-1 Park Hopper Ticket when you arrive at the Jurong Bird Park for a substantial discount.
Day 3 - National Orchid Garden, Singapore Zoo & Night Safari
Morning:
Take the taxi to the Singapore Botanic Gardens, planning to arrive around 8.30am when the National Orchid Garden opens.
Thereafter, take a stroll around the Botanic Gardens and end up at the Jacob Ballas Children's Garden. Your children will love the wonderful playground there.
There are a few eateries at the Botanic Gardens for lunch.
Afternoon & Evening:
Take a taxi to the Singapore Zoo - making sure not to miss the animal shows.
Around 6pm, hop over next door for dinner at the Bongo Restaurant, followed by a wonderful evening at the Singapore Night Safari.
Day 4 - Universal Studios Singapore & Sentosa Island
Take the MRT to Harbourfront Station, followed by the Sentosa Express from Level 3 Vivo City to Universal Studios Sentosa.
Morning to Late Afternoon: Uninversal Studios Singapore.
Late Afternoon: Sentosa Underwater World & Dolphin Lagoon.
Evening: Songs of the Sea & Sentosa Luge-Skyride.
Day 5 - Little India & Orchard Road
For Day 5, you might want to choose just one of these 2 places:
Orchard Road or Little India.
Orchard Road offers lots of shopping opportunities.
Little India has lots of bargain shops for clothes and other daily necessities. It's also an opportunity to see how a predominantly Indian area in Singapore is different from what you see back home. Mustafa Centre is also located here.
Have a great holiday in Singapore.
