Finding Hotel Deals in Singapore:
Hotel Search Tool + Online Agents

"Singapore Hotel Tip: Find a hotel near an MRT station.
Take advantage of the efficient train network!"

Hotel deals in Singapore are not difficult to find if you go online. But with so many sites claiming to give 'Lowest Price Guarantee', which one do you choose?

Here's is a tool (Hotels Combined Search) that finds you the lowest rates from 20+ hotel sites:

Find a hotel

Search by hotel name | Browse by country

I also have used 3 other good hotel booking websites. Allow me to share them with you. You're likely to find them ranking at or near the top the Wego search results as well. So, here goes...

I've found Agoda.Com's hotel deals to be great value. If you use those hotel-search software that run through multiple sites for the best prices, Agoda.Com will often top the results.

But that's not the main reason I use Agoda.Com. I use them because they have an effective online booking facility that allows you to text-chat with a real person 24/7.

What's so great about this? Well, it's especially useful when you want to make unusual or multiple bookings. Instead of making multiple transactions yourself, you could just text-chat with an agent and get her/him to book them all for you at one go.

On Agoda's text-chat, you may also ask an agent to check whether there are still rooms in so-called 'fully booked' hotels.

While planning for a family vacation to Bangkok recently, we had wanted very much to book the Asia Hotel, because of its near-ness to a train station.

When I couldn't book the hotel after checking a few sites, I decided to try my luck with an Agoda.Com text-chat agent. He told me that their room allotments were fully used up, but that it was possible for him to make a new room request with their wholesaler. He did just that and 2 days later I got my rooms at Asia Hotel!

Agoda.Com also has other advantages, for example:

  • they have one of the widest selection of Singapore hotels - 112 hotels in their database, 81 of which offers instant confirmation, and
  • they have a Rewards programme - when you book with them, you get 'dollar-points' which you could use to offset your future bookings.

If you are looking for hotel deals in Singapore, Agoda.Com is a safe bet.

Another site I regularly use is They do offer surprisingly good hotel deals in Singapore, if you care to book early.

While planning for a trip to Taipei last year, my long-time travel agent offered me S$130 per room per night at the Rainbow Hotel. Hotel Club was giving it to me at only S$86! I dilly-dallied a bit and 3 days later all the Rainbow Hotel rooms were taken up.

If you could plan way ahead, you might get similarly good hotels deals in Singapore through Like Agoda.Com, they have a reasonably good range of Singapore hotels in their database.

1 thing about online travel bookings is this: if you know that a deal is really good, book it there and then. They may not be there an hour later.

This company is a part of the Travelocity network and every year their network secures 17 million room nights with hotels around the world. It's quite likely they could pass on some of the savings to you.

Zuji.Com is also great for getting cheap airtickets to any where. TTG Travel Magazine readers voted them the Best Online Travel Agent (Asia Pacific) for 4 years running (2005-2008). So you have peace of mind.

They often have good flight + hotel packages to Asian countries and if you are not too particular about which hotel to check in to, Zuji's packages may do the job for you. Do check out their flight + hotel deals in Singapore. You may be surprised.
