Transiting at Singapore Airport? Join a Free Singapore Tour.

Did you know that you may sign up for a free Singapore tour?

Yes, consider taking a free city tour if you are a transit passenger at Singapore Airport with 5 hours or more before your connecting flight.

You may enquire about this tour when you reach the transit area of any of the main terminals. (Details below)

Look out for the booths. They'll be glad to help you out.

This free Singapore tour lasts for 2 hours. A coach picks you up from the airport, takes you on one of 2 different itineraries and sends you back to the airport for your connecting flight.

Tips for Transit Passengers

Important Note:
The Free Singapore Tour described on this page is meant for transit passengers only. So if you are already in the city, you may not join this tour. Note also that it is subject to immigration requirements, i.e. the traveller should be holding a valid visa (if required), passport, etc.

  1. Many transit passengers with limited time have often tried to 'do their own tours', thinking that it'll be more interesting. But if it's your first time transiting through Singapore and you are not familiar with the place, this can often be hit-or-miss. I recommend the above tours to you instead.

  2. This free city tour is very well thought out. You will have a meaningful time, even though the tour is basically a 'sampler'. But heck, you're only on transit and it's free!

  3. If you have done one of them, you could always do the second option on another transit.

  4. If you don't want to join the free tour, you may take the free airport-city shuttle bus to the following spots in town:

    • The Singapore Flyer (currently the world's highest observation wheel)

    • Suntec City (glitzy mega-mall for that quick shopping tour)

    • Bugis Street Bazaar

    • Little India (a chance to visit the 24/7 mega-mall Mustafa Centre)

This free shuttle bus is also only for transit passengers with 5+ hours to kill. Registration is at the Visitors' Centre in Terminal 2 Arrival Hall.
  1. The Free Singapore Tour Booths will have the latest updates about the free tour and the free city shuttle. You should approach the booths located in the Transit Mall before you clear customs, not the Visitors' Centres after you have cleared customs.

Here are the locations of the Free Singapore Tour booths at Changi Airport:

    • Terminal 2: Transit Mall North, Level 2
(near the escalators to Skytrain station)

    • Terminal 3: Transit Mall North, Level 2
      (near Transfer Lounge B)

  2. Transit passengers may only register for this tour upon arrival at Singapore Airport, not in advance.

    Registration time: 7am - 3pm.

    Departure times for free tours: 9am, 11am, 1pm, 3pm, 4pm.

  3. This Free City Tour is NOT available to passengers using the Singapore Budget Terminal. However, visitors arriving at the Budget Terminal may take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2 and then register for the free city shuttle to one of the designated spots in town. Enquire at the Visitors' Centre @ Terminal 2 (Arrival Hall).

(Please note that the free Singapore tour and city shuttle service is subject to change. Transit passengers should get the latest information upon arrival at Singapore Airport.)

  4. There are other transport options if you are looking for more than just a free Singapore tour.
