What a Big Bottle of Wine!
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Wee Tein Chow

That's a very big bottle of wine!

Honestly, I don't know what they will ask you to do. You are entitled to take 1 litre of wine through customs duty-free. Perhaps, they might ask you to pay duty on the second and third litre?

Are you going to buy that 3-litre bottle from the duty-free shops at your departure airport? If you are, show the customs officer that you were allowed to buy this big bottle at your point of departure. Then hear what they have to say.

If you have bought that 3-litre bottle of wine outside the airport, I doubt if they'll even let you take it onto the plane.

There's this international aviation rule:

Passengers may not take liquids and gels in bottles larger than 100ml onto a plane's cabin.

Good luck and tell us what happens to your bottle of wine! ;-)
