Tekka Wet Market the next best thing after Desaru Fruit Farm...
On our recent trip to Singapore we failed to get seats on the Malacca 1 day tour due to sold out trips. We had wanted to go to Desaru Fruit Farm to savor the various fruits and other goodies sold in this farm.
One day we found ourselves in Little India and took a side trip to visit Tekka Wet Market as we are wont to doing when we visit other places.
We were surprised to see different fruits from the sweetest honey mangoes, dragon fruit, lanzones which were sweeter and bigger than those I used to eat back in my original homeland, papayas bigger than those in Hawaii, star fruit, chicos, green mangoes that goes well with chili sauce and of course lychees (the real McCoy not in cans).
It was a terrific experience indeed. One thing, on our visit to Singapore early next year: begging for a seat on the Malacca tour isn't going to be on our list. Tekka Market, here we come.
