Visiting Singapore: Long Hair, Tattoos & Chewing Gum

I want to visit Singapore. I heard that tourists with long hair or tattoos or gums face problem. Is it true?

I was quite tickled by your question ;-).

Long hair and tattoos are never an issue here. You'd be surprised by the profusion of tattoo shops here. There seems to be one at every street corner now.

Chewing gums cannot be imported for a very simple reason. When gums were still allowed, a few idiots repeatedly stuck them in the doors of our subway trains, preventing the doors from closing properly. Trips were delayed and commuters frustrated. Hence the ban.
