Visiting Desaru Farms from Johor Bahru

If I am in JB (Johor Bahru) hotel already, and want to visit the Desaru Fruit Farm and Desaru Ostrich Farm, is there any local tour operator you would recommend to go from JB City to the farms and back to my hotel in JB City?

What would be a reasonable cost to expect for this, please? Btw, my hotel is near City Square area...

Transport to Desaru Farms

Hi there

1. I'm afraid I can't help you with the selection of travel agent in Johor Bahru - because I don't know the agents in JB. You may want to walk along Jalan Wong Ah Fook and see if there are travel agencies there who may be able to help you.

2. However, may I suggest 2 other options:

a. Go to the Kota Raya Bus Terminal on Jalan Trus, which is very near to City Square (and therefore near where you're staying). There are taxis there who'd take you to various locations in Johor. Bargain hard and tell the driver to take you to the farms and back.

OR

b. Hire a car, print out the maps on my Johor page, and drive there yourself. The farms are well-signed and easy to spot from the main roads.

Hawk Rent-a-car has an office at Level 2 of PanGlobal Plaza, Jalan Wong Ah Fook. You may also ask if they could include a driver with the rental.

Do note that the Desaru Fruit Farm will only run their guided tour if your group has 4 or more people.

Desaru Eco Tours

I have found a travel agent that specializes in eco tours especially to Desaru...New Asia Holiday Tours & Travel.

They are located in the city and have very interesting tour programmes not only to Desaru but also to Endau Rompin national Park to visit the aborigines.
