Handicraft Shops in Kampong Glam - How Many?
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Ena
this sounds like a Singapore Trivia type of question. ;-)

I didn't really count the last time I went to Kampong Glam. But there are quite a few. I found the following shops interesting:

1. My Grandfather's Collection (42 Bussorah Street) - they sell knick knacks and souvenirs from a bygone era, e.g. kuti kuti, chapteh, etc.

2. Rattan shop at junction of Muscat Street and Baghdad Street

3. Shops selling household crafts and decor at Sultan's Arts Village (Sultan Gate)

Of course there are lots of shops selling carpets and colourful fabrics.

Here are some photos of the Kampong Glam shops.
