Time for Plane Transfer at Singapore Airport

by Jennie

How long do I need to allow if I am arriving from a budget airline (Air Asia) to get through customs, collect luggage and reach Terminal 1 for a departure (Qantas)?

Thanks.

Allow At Least 3 Hours
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Jennie

At the moment, only Tiger Airways and Cebu Pacific use the Singapore Budget Terminal. If you take Air Asia to Singapore, you'll arrive at Terminal 1.

Allow 45 minutes from touch down to when you pick up your checked-in luggage.

As you'll also need to re-check in for your onward flight, you should allow at least 3 hours between your touch down in Singapore and your onward flight.

Bear in mind also that budget airlines are more prone to delays than are full-service airlines.
