Visited by numerous publications as one of the island's best places for Teochew muay (porridge).

They serve lavish assortment of Teochew dishes such as

steamed fish,
braised peanuts,
beancurd,
duck,
pig's trotters,
preserved vegetables,
chicken feet,
chai por omelette,
crayfish,
squids,
crabs, etc,

that go along with porridge of the right texture and served pipping hot. It is authentic and value-for-money!

I just passed Teck Teochew Porridge today while sampling food at many other places in Joo Chiat!

Sadly, I did not make it inside, as I was a little full from the prawn mee/soon kueh/curry puffs/duck rice/lakhsa/popiah/tau kwa pau/BBQ wings/bak chang/chendol/durian puff dining adventures that I had along the way.

Actually, I was o full I could hardly walk and considered hailing a taxi to take me the 1 block back to my car (but that would have been be just over-indulgent!). So I'll hit Teck next time.

Hmm, thinking about a good bowl of congee is sort of making me hungry right now....

High class teochew porridge

Food is palatable if u can stomach paying $17.40 for 2 persons eating sliced sotong, clams, fish cake, tau kee and 3 bowls of porridge.

Good but very expensive

Yes, food good but expensive. fried fish small one cost $6 to $7. One person probably with others will cost more than $10.00(very expensive)
