Taking Singapore Duty Free Items into Malaysia

Will I be taxed for the duty-free items that I buy from Changi Airport when I enter Malaysia? I will be travelling to Singapore next week and probably will buy something in Singapore. After that I will be leaving for KL by air and then will return to Calcutta, India.

Malaysia Duty Free Allowance

The Royal Malaysian Customs Department has this list of duty-free items allowed into Malaysia, together with the necessary conditions.

I went thru the site but couldn't understand the 72 hrs clause. Is it that if I stay beyond 72 hrs I will be charged? Kindly help...

Duty Free Allowance Given if You Stay 72 Hours or More

I believe it means you are entitled to the duty-free allowance if you stay 72 hours (3 days) or more. If you stay fewer than 72 hours, duties will be imposed on you.

This seems a common policy among airports to prevent regular in-and-out travellers from abusing of the system.
