Taking Rolling Tobacco into Singapore

Dear Ladies, Gents,

Am I allowed to bring 400 gram Dutch Rolling (smoking) tobacco on the plane from Amsterdam to Changi, Singapore for personal use?

I heard something about Singaport Duty Paid and extremely high penalties/fines.

I'll arrive Changi Dec.22 for a 3 weeks holiday in Singapore & Malaysia.

Tobacco is Dutiable in Singapore

Hi Ronald

Rolling tobacco is listed under 'Dutiable Goods' by the Singapore Customs.

If you are taking rolling tobacco into Singapore, you need to declare it at the Red Channel ('Items to Declare') at Singapore Airport. The immigration officer will inspect your tobacco to determine the duty it is liable for.

You may take the tobacco through only after you have paid duty and tax (GST).
