Taking Pets Into Singapore

Hi,

I am currently living in Australia, and would like to work at Singapore for two years, but not sure if I may bring my little dog with me.

Could you please help with my question?

Thanks!

Importing Pets into Singapore - the Requirements
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi there

1. Firstly, you need to get a license from the Agri-Food & Veterinary Authority of Singapore (AVA). You'll only get this license if your dog fulfill some health specifications. (More info in the link below.)

2. Once your license is approved, you'll need to make special arrangement with your airline to take your pet with you.

3. Upon arrival in Singapore, your pet dog may have to undergo quarantine for a period of time before you can take it home with you.

4. If you are renting an apartment in Singapore, you also need to know the rules for keeping a dog in the apartment.

More from the AVA about importing personal pets into Singapore.
