No Duties Nor Taxes for Cigarettes on Outbound Flights
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Mohan

There's no restriction for taking cigarettes on an outbound flight from Singapore Airport, if you have bought these cigarettes for personal consumption.

However, there are cigarette duties and taxes at your destination(foreign airport). So you need to check whether it's worthwhile to take your cigarettes there.

My guess is that cigarettes elsewhere are way cheaper than in Singapore. Just ask any Malaysian or Indonesian! ;-)
