Specifics of Johor Farm Tour

I assume you are referring to this self-drive Johor Farm Tour.
Costs of Visiting Johor Farms
As of 1 April 2010, these are the entrance fees:
1) Kota Tinggi Crocodile Farm (RM8 Adult, RM4 Child)
2) Desaru Fruit Farm (RM20 Adult, RM10 Child + Minimum 4-to-go)
3) Desaru Ostrich Farm (RM12 Adult, RM8 Child)
The operator of the Kota Tinggi fireflies tour has asked me not to publish their tour fee. So you'll need to call and ask personally.
Johor Farm Tour as Day Trip or Overnight Trip
If you plan on seeing the farms on a day trip, you need to set off early, be at the Woodlands-Johor Bahru Checkpoints before 8am, and expect to be back in Singapore after 11pm.
If you want to take it easy, you can see these Johor farms on an overnight trip. There are 2 overnight possibilities for this trip:
1) After visiting the Desaru Ostrich Farm, drive northward and stay at one of the Desaru resorts. If you take this option, it'll make better sense to join the alternative fireflies tour run by your Desaru resort - instead of taking the one in Kota Tinggi.
OR
2) After the Kota Tinggi fireflies tour, spend the night at a budget hotel in Kota Tinggi Town. However, be warned that these Kota Tinggi hotels are exactly what they are: budget hotels with only the basics.
If you don't want to drive back to Singapore in the dark on a day trip, you'll need to give the fireflies tour in Kota Tinggi a miss.
But you can make up for this with a good dinner at Taman Sri Tebrau, which is on the opposite side of the road to Crystal Crown Hotel (near the checkpoint).
For dinner here, I recommend one of the following:

2) Multiple orders @ Taman Sri Tebrau Hawker Centre
