Is there a smoking room at Changi Airport and can I smoke in Singapore if I have proof from customs that I have paid the duty?

Of Smoking Rooms & Cigarette Duty Receipts
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Sally

1. You may smoke at designated smoking areas at Singapore Airport.

2. Each duty-paid cigarette bought in Singapore will have the letters 'SDPC' printed on it. (SDPC = Singapore Duty Paid Cigarette)

If you are taking cigarettes through customs into Singapore, you need to declare them, pay the duty and keep the receipts as proof. Thereafter, you may smoke them.

As customs regulations change every now and then, you should verify this information with the customs officer when you declare your cigarettes.
