Singapore Visa: Do Americans and Filipinos Need One?

My name is Esperanza, US citizen, but I'm originally from the Philippines.

I'm planning to visit again the Philippines on September '09. I'm also planning to bring my 4 siblings in Singapore to visit, but i don't really know where to start?

Do we need a visa or do they need a visa? Please help me to understand the policy so we can get ready ASAP. Thank you very much for your time. Hope to hear from you soon.

American and Filipino Tourists Don't Need Singapore Visa
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Esperanza

According to this ICA webpage, American and Filipino passport holders do not need a Singapore visa to enter Singapore as tourists.

Amongst other things, the Singapore Customs will also require tourists to Singapore to have the following:

1. valid passport,
2. confirmed onward ticket,
3. sufficient funds for the stay.

So please ensure you also have these things in order.

I'm not the official voice of the ICA, so you'll need to verify all this requirements just before you travel.

Have a good trip to Singapore.

Oct 2010 Update:

Please note that we've stopped answering questions about Singapore visa requirements, which is not the job of us here at eTour Singapore. Please contact the Singapore ICA directly.
