Singapore Transit:
Using Transfer Desk for Two Separate Tickets

by Caro
(London)

I have two separate tickets. The first is on Silk Air from AMI to SIN and the second from SIN to LHR on Qantas. If Silk Air will not tag my baggage through to LHR can I still use the transfer desk and will they be able to pick up my baggage and reroute it to LHR?

Transfer Desk for Transit Passengers
Without Checked-in Baggage Only

by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Caro

As far as I'm aware, the transfer desk will only process boarding passes for passengers without checked-in baggage.

Apart from single-ticket transit flights, airlines generally do not collect baggage from passengers arriving on a previous flight by another airline, much less transfer it without seeing the passengers at check in.

This means you'll need to clear immigration checks, collect your checked-in baggage and re-check in again.

It's best you verify this with your airlines before flying off.
