Using Transfer Desk for Two Separate Tickets

I have two separate tickets. The first is on Silk Air from AMI to SIN and the second from SIN to LHR on Qantas. If Silk Air will not tag my baggage through to LHR can I still use the transfer desk and will they be able to pick up my baggage and reroute it to LHR?
