Singapore Transit for Chinese Passport Holders

by Jason
(Chongqing)

I am a PRC national who is arriving on SilkAir and will catch a connecting flight to Australia on Tiger Airways. I have the appropriate visa to enter Australia and tickets, so understand I can get a 96 hour VFTF for transit purposes.

My question is: Will this VFTF be granted both going TO and FROM Australia? Because on the return trip, I will have used my flight ticket to Australia already, and will only have a ticket to get back to my city in China.

Thanks for your response.

Jason

Kindly verify your VFTF status with Singapore ICA
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Jason

Please read this page about Singapore entry requirements and the links to relevant authorities there - the VFTF for Singapore depends on the type of Australian visa issued to you.

Neither I nor anyone else on the Net can ascertain whether you'll be issued a VFTF at Singapore Airport.

To verify your VFTF status, kindly contact the Singapore Immigration and Checkpoints Authority directly:

http://www.ica.gov.sg

Best regards.

Australian Visa & Singapore VFTF
by: Jason

Thanks Gabriel,

I have a 1 year multiple entry Australian visa, and comply with all the other requirements, so expect I will have no trouble. I will call the Singapore consulate in Chengdu to confirm though just the same.

Jason.
