I am arriving in Changi Airport from London with Singapore Airlines and then transferring to a Singapore Airlines flight to Penang. Can I buy duty free on arrival at Changi.

Whether you can buy duty free items - and how much - depends on your destination airport - because each country decides its own duty free allowance.

According to the experience of one of our readers, it seems that Malaysia-bound passengers are not given any duty free allowance at Changi Airport.

The duty free shops at Changi usually have a list showing the duty free allowance for common destination airports. You could check with them the duty-free allowance for your Penang-bound flight.
