by Roshinie
(Colombo Sri Lanka)

Hi I am Roshi.

I am travelling to singapore with my 9 year old son on the 20th of April and returning on the 24th. I need to show him the Night Safari, Underwater World and other exciting places.

Also he wants to buy a good Lego set and Pokemon toys. I hope to buy a good camera, perfumes and clothes.

Please help me plan my tour.

A Few Shopping Spots in Singapore
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Roshi

I'll create a suggested Singapore tour itinerary in the next post. But first, a few suggestions for your shopping:

Take the MRT to Bugis Station. Around the station, you'll find a few shopping malls which stock the items on your shopping list. These are:

- Bugis Junction Shopping Centre
- Bugis Street Bazaar
- OG Albert Complex

Map of the area around Bugis MRT Station:

1. Where to Buy Pokemon Toys & Lego Sets in Singapore

Pokemon toys:
Level 3 of OG Albert Complex has a very good toys section. You'll definitely find Pokemon toys here, as well as others such as Transformers, Gundam Model Kits, etc.

Lego sets:
The place to get Lego sets is Toys R Us at Suntec City (nearest MRT Station: City Hall). This store stocks one of the widest range of Lego sets I've seen.

More about Toys R Us and other places to buy toys in Singapore.

2. Where to Buy Cameras, Perfumes and Clothes

Perfumes and Clothes:
- BHG at Bugis Junction
- Bugis Street Bazaar

Cameras:
- Cathay Photo (Level 1, Peninsula Plaza)
- John 3:16 Photo (Level 5, Funan IT Mall)

These are trustworthy camera shops. They will listen to your needs and advise accordingly. Both are within walking distance from City Hall MRT Station.

Depending on the time of your arrival, you could do your shopping on the first day of your Singapore tour. That way, you won't feel the rush to 'do last-minute shopping'.
