Hi Charles
Q1) Can I have you opinion on our schedule?
Day 1: Singapore Night Safari
If you arrive about 5pm, you'll not be able to do so many things in Sentosa. I'll counter suggest that - after checking into your hotel - you take a taxi and enjoy the evening at Singapore Night Safari.
Day 2: Universal Studios & Other Sentosa Attractions.
Your schedule for Day 2 looks fine:
• Cable Car to Sentosa Island
• Universal Studio
• Underwater World
• Dolphin Lagoon
• Songs of the Sea
Day 3: City Highlights & More Sentosa Attractions
Rather than go on a hop-on-hop-off bus tour, I recommend that you cut down on commute and zoom in on just one major area to sightsee for half a day. For example, take a walking tour of Chinatown, Little India, Bugis/Kampong Glam, Singapore River, Marina Bay or the Civic District (city centre).
You can then re-visit Sentosa for the places you wanted to see on Day 1:
• Sentosa 4D Magix
• Sentosa Cineblast
• The Merlion
• Sentosa Island (casino)
Day 4: Sights and Shopping Near Hotel
Good idea to sightsee and shop near your hotel on departure day.
Q2) Can you suggest to us any more places of interest?
October is a great time to see Little India because of the Deepavali Light Up.
Q3) Can you suggest which budget hotel we should stay in based on our schedule?
Truth be told, it's very difficult to get a room for under RM120 per night. But these budget hotels in Little India Singapore might be worth considering. These hotels are also near the MRT line leading to Harbourfront (hop off point to Sentosa).
Q4) Which one is better: city tour or use SIA Hop on Bus?
I'm not a fan of touch-and-go, hop-on-hop-off tours. As I wrote above, consider seeing just one area in Singapore - but enjoy it well.
Q5) How much Singapore dollars should we bring on our trip?(Cash)
For all places you plan to see in Sentosa, set aside at least S$200 per person. Universal Studios itself is about $70 depending on which day you go. The money you plan to give the casino might also be better deployed for a nicer stay at a luxurious hotel.
For other sight-seeing spots / souvenir shopping, you'll be comfortable with about S$50-100 per day if you don't plan to eat at expensive restaurants.
Have a good Singapore tour.
