Hi Agatha
Here goes...
Day 1 - Original Plan
Little India, stroll and have dinner at the resto's along Singapore River. Hop on the open top bus to go around the city after dinner.
Day 1 - My recommendations
With a 3.45pm arrival, you won't have time to do so much in the evening.
I recommend that, after you check in to your hotel, take the MRT to either Clarke Quay or Raffles Place station. From here, you explore the Singapore River. For a romantic time, take a Singapore River cruise. Then culminate with a nice dinner at one of these romantic Singapore River restaurants.
Day 2 - Original Plan
AM - Orchard Road
Late afternoon till sunset at Sentosa.(cable car, aquarium) BTW, we'd like to see Songs of the Sea at 7:30pm afterwards the Cineblast. Will there be buses going back to Orchard Road or Little india by that time, maybe around 10pm?
Day 2 - My comments
Your schedule for Day 2 looks reasonable. To get back to town, you could take the Sentosa Express (monorail) back to Vivo City Level 3 (mall), then walk next door to Harbourfront MRT Station for the train back to either Orchard Road or Little India.
Day 3 - Original Plan
AM - Marina Bay Sands
PM - No plans yet where to go. Maybe early Christmas shopping. Where do you suggest for electronics and medical equipment?
Dinner - Tentative plan : Raffle's Grill.
Day 3 - My recommendations
AM - Little India
PM - Shopping for electronics at
a) Sim Lim Square
(bargain and compare prices please; near Little India)
or
b) Funan IT Mall (near Marina Bay)
You could then take a sundown walk around the Marina Bay area. The views from the Marina Bay Sands Skypark is beautiful during the early evening.
For medical equipment:
a) If you're not looking for sophisticated stuff you could walk into one of the pharmacies in town (e.g. Unity, Guardian).
b) For more advanced equipment, check out the pharmacy in one of the hospitals in town, e.g. Raffles Hospital.
Dinner - You don't really need a reservation at Raffle's Grill, but it's nevertheless recommended. If you like the ambience of the Raffles Hotel, you may also check out their Tiffin Room or Doc Cheng's.
Enjoy your Singapore tour, minus the kids (yeah?)...
