Singapore Stopover Tour: Luggage Storage

by Quang Vinh
(Dubai)

Hi Gabriel Tan!!

I'll stop over in Singapore for 2 days on the way to my country, Vietnam. I have 1 big luggage and 1 hand-carried bag. I plan to just bring the hand-carried bag only for my Singapore tour.

But how about my luggage? Will Singapore Airlines transfer my luggage to my next flight? Or do I have to take it with me? And where can I keep it at Singapore Airport?

2-Day Singapore Stopover Tour = You're No Longer a Transit Passenger

As your stopover in Singapore exceeds 24 hours, I believe (but I'm not entirely sure) that your stopover is no longer considered 'transit'.

You should follow these procedures:

1. Ask Singapore Airlines during check-in if your checked-in luggage will still be transferred onto your onward flight for you.

Luggage is usually transferred for passengers automatically if they are 'in transit'. However, I believe your longer stay may mean you don't qualify.

2. If your luggage is not transferred for you, you'll need to collect it after clearing immigration.

You may store your luggage at the public area of all 3 terminals at Singapore Airport.
