What atmosphere. These young men got the spectators going with their fire-eating performance. They dance, swallow balls of fire and then blow out bigger balls of fire! They even transfer the fire from mouth to mouth! Grab a bongo burger and watch them at 7pm at the entrance area. |

This is one of my favourite spots at the Singapore Night Safari. You walk into an netted enclosure and you see dark flapping wings swooshing above you. Then when your eyes get used to the lighting, you see a dark blob here, another blob there. Giant fruit bats, also called Malayan flying foxes. All active and hungry. |
They are within touch. But never, ever try to frighten them. Or you may end up with bat urine (and shit) on your face!
