  1. Which airlines use the Budget Terminal?

    Tiger Airways and Cebu Pacific Only. Air Asia and Jetstar use Changi Airport Terminal 1.

Transport to Main Terminals & City

  1. How do I get from the Singapore Budget Terminal to the main terminals at Changi Airport?

    There's a free shuttle bus that runs between the Budget Terminal and Terminal 2. It leaves roughly every 15 minutes. From Terminal 2, you may use the Skytrain (monorail train) to get to Terminal 1 or Terminal 3. This free shuttle is a 24-hour service.

  2. How do I get from Singapore Budget Terminal to the City?

    • By Taxi
      • Turn left after you come out of the Budget Terminal building. You'll find a taxi queue.
      • There's a airport surcharge of $3 during normal hours and $5 during peak hours. After-midnight surcharge of 50% extra on metered fare applies.
      • Maximum of 4 passengers per taxi.
      • Approximately S$15-25 fare to city hotels.

    • By Limousine Taxi
      • Uses the roomier Mercedes sedan.
      • Maximum of 4 passengers per limousine taxi.
      • Hire at the Limousine Taxi Counter at the Budget Terminal's Arrival Hall.
      • S$45 one way to single destination, 6am-12midnight.
      • S$55, one way to single destination, 12midnight-6am.

      • Hire at Limousine Taxi Counter at Arrival Hall.

    • By MRT (City Train)
      • Take the free shuttle bus to Terminal 2. Follow the sign to the Airport MRT station.
      • 1, 2, or 3 changes of trains depending on where your hotel is.

    • By Public Bus
      • Again shuttle bus to Terminal 2 basement. Then take the public bus from Terminal 2 basement to the city. The main public bus service is No. 36, which plies the Bras Basah-Orchard Road hotel belt. If you don't know the exact location of your hotel, ask the bus captain to alert you when it's time for you to alight.

Resting & Eating at Singapore Budget Terminal

  1. Are there eateries or restaurants at the Budget Terminal?

    • At Check-in Hall: Han's Cafe & Bakery, which serves pastries & a variety of western and local meals.

    • At Departure Lounge: Genki Sushi, O'Briens, Killiney Kopitiam (local toasts, dishes and beverages), Polar Puffs & Cakes.

  2. I have 6 hours before my connecting flight out from Terminal 1/2/3. Is there a place where I can rest and maybe take a shower?

    You could always take the free shuttle to one of the main terminals and find a bench and try to call a snooze. But your rest can be more comfortable...

    On Level 1 of Terminal 3, there's a 24-hour facility called the Plaza Premium Lounge (no need for check-in). For S$30 (S$15 for children 3-12), you could take a shower, rest on comfortable couches, and help yourself to free flow of hot/cold drinks, light snacks and salads. You also get Internet access, local newspapers and magazines, and free local calls.

    If you are flying with SIA or Silkair:

  • you may check in your luggage any time (24 hours), and then go into the Transit/Departure Lounge (restricted) and book 5-hour blocks at the Transit Hotels.

    (Note that the Transit Hotels do fill up, so advance booking is recommended.)

  • If you are flying from Terminal 2, you may also pay to use the Plaza Premium Lounge in the restricted area (similar to the one in Terminal 3).

GST Refund

  1. How do I claim my GST Refund at Singapore Budget Terminal?

    At the Check-in Hall, there's an GST Refund Inspection/Claim section. Get your shopping and GST Refund documents inspected and endorsed here and then you may claim your refund.
