Hello

Can I purchase items from duty free shops in Singapore Airport Terminal 2 if my flight is departing from the Budget Terminal?

Kind Regards

Duty-free Shopping for Budget Terminal Passengers
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Fei

Scenario 1: You Have Arrived at One of the Main Terminals

If you have arrived at any one of the main terminals at Changi Airport (i.e. Terminals 1, 2 or 3), you may move from the transit area of one terminal to another and use the duty-free shops at any terminal.

If you then clear customs and proceed to the Budget Terminal for an onward flight, note however that liquids such as perfumes and alcoholic drinks (bought duty-free at one of the main terminals) may not be allowed into the restricted area.

This is due to an international aviation rule forbidding passengers from taking non-permitted liquids onto the plane.

Scenario 2: You are Just Departing from the Budget Terminal

In this case, you cannot get into the main terminals for duty-free shopping, since the Budget Terminal is in a separate building.

However, you may still buy from the duty-free shops at the Budget Terminal.
