Singapore Budget Terminal and Visa Requirement

Dear sir,

I am planning to take Tiger airways from Clark(Manila) to Chennai via Singapore Budget Terminal. The connecting flights are the same Tiger Airways round trip.

1. Do I need to have Singapore Transit Visa?

2. Do I have to under go check-out and check-in again though it is the same airlines?

Do You Need a Singapore Visa? Depends on Your Passport.

At the Singapore Budget Terminal, the Arrival Hall and the Departure Hall are in separate buildings. You need to clear customs, collect your luggage and check-in again.

Q: 1. Do I need a Singapore Visa to transit at Singapore Budget Terminal?

It depends on what passport you hold.

If you hold an Indian passport and are arriving from the Philippines, you need a visa to transit at the Singapore Budget Terminal.

If you hold a Philippines passport, you do not need a visa to enter Singapore for social purposes.

Of course, all the other requirements must met:

1. passport with 6 month's validity

2. confirmed onward (or return) airticket

3. sufficient funds for your stopover in Singapore

4. entry facility to your onward destination, e.g. a valid visa for the country you are flying to, if one is needed.

As I'm not an official spokesperson of the Singapore ICA, and visa requirements change constantly, you need to verify all this information before you travel to Singapore.
