Singapore Airport Transit Hotel: Luggage Retrieval

I am arriving into Singapore on SilkAir from Da Nang (Vietnam) at 10.15pm (Terminal 2 I believe) and will fly out at 7.40am next morning by Jetstar to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (Terminal 1 I believe).

If I stayed at the Transit Hotel, I understand my luggage will be at the Lost and Found. Does that mean I will have to exit through customs the next morning, retrieve my luggage and then check in at Terminal 1? Is there any easier way?

Customs Clearance and New Check In Necessary

Hi Li Li

what you described is correct.

As yours is not a transit stopover - but 2 separate flights - you'll need to

1. go to the Transit Hotel first,

2. clear customs after your rest at Transit Hotel,

3. claim your luggage from Lost and Found counter, and then

4. check in for your Jetstar flight.

If you clear customs first to collect your luggage, you'll not be able to enter the Transit Area again until after you've checked in for your Jetstar flight. This might mess up your Transit Hotel stay.
