There's a taxi stand just outside the Arrival Hall at each of the terminals at Singapore Airport.

There are many - and clear - signboards, so you can't miss them.

Singapore Grand Prix

Hi Gabriel,

We are flying into Singapore at 6pm Friday 25th September 2009. I am wondering about road closures etc. because of the scheduled Grand Prix.

We are staying at the Hilton Hotel in Orchard Road. Will we still be able to take a taxi there?

Route to Orchard Road & Alternative Route to Orchard Road

Hi Pam

Not to worry. There are many routes to Orchard Road once the taxi exits the expressway into the city.

Your taxi driver is most likely to offer the East Coast Parkway (ECP) route with exit at Rochor Road. This is the shortest route into the city. From there, there are various ways to get to Orchard Road, all bypassing the Singapore F1 route.

You could also ask your taxi driver to take the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) with exit at Whitley Road. This also leads to the Orchard Road area. Although it is a longer trip, it bypasses all the feeder routes leading into the Grand Prix area.

Note: All taxis use the meter in Singapore. There're also peak-hour and airport surcharges, which are factored into the final fare.

Transfers to Hotel

Dear Team,

We are 3 ladies arriving at Singapore from India and it will be in the evening...need to know how much it would cost for taxi from singapore Airport to Fortuna Hotel???

And can you suggest the best alternatives too??
