Resting and Entering Singapore During Transit

by Huson Joher
(Australia)

Dear,

my wife and two kids are travelling with Singapore Airlines from Melbourne, to Bangladesh via Singapore on 22 Nov, 2009. They will have a transit stop for almost 13 hours. Is there any arrangement such an executive lounge at the airport to take a rest?

Secondly, if they were to enter to Singapore during the transit, will they require a transit visa? They are holding Bangladesh passports, and are currently parmanent residents in Australia.

Thank you very much.

Hi

1. Yes, there are several rest options at Singapore Airport.

2. As holders of Bangladesh passports, your wife and children will need visas to enter Singapore. Follow the steps described here: Singapore entry requirements.
