Questions About Free Singapore Tour

Hi!!!

first, allow me to tell you that ur site is very helpful for those tourists who really are interested to catch up the beauty of singapore.

I am a Filipino & I will be having a stop over of about 5 hrs in Singapore going to Philippines.

I am planning to avail the free 2hr tour, am I allowed? Since I will be arriving at 7:30am my option would be the cultural tour w/c will start at 9am.

Are the tourist allowed to hop off the bus during the touring time - just to buy things that are interesting to us.

Will the tour definitely secure us that they will take us back on time for the connecting flights?

Singapore Transit: Free City Tour or Free City Shuttle?

first of all, thank you for you kind words.

If you have more than 5 hours in transit (i.e. NOT available to normal tourists), you may register for the free Singapore City Tour.

Approach the tourism board staff in the Transit Mall. Do get all your travel documents ready, including a visa if you need one to enter Singapore.

The free Singapore City Tour is something like a 'sampler' tour - a quick tour to show you the major spots in Singapore. So there isn't enough time for the visitors to shop.

But the tour bus will return in time for your connecting flight!

How about the Free City Shuttle to Downtown Singapore?

If you like to shop, you could take the free shuttle instead.

The free city shuttle stops at following places in Singapore City:

1. Singapore Flyer
-> see Singapore from 165m up.
-> admission fee applies.

2. Suntec City
-> Up-market mega-mall.

3. Little India
-> a taste of Indian culture
-> food, temples, garlands.
-> shopping at Mustafa Centre.

4. Bugis Street
-> pick up souvenirs at this Street Bazaar.

You'll also need at least 5 hours to take the free city shuttle. Get all the relevant travel documents ready as well. Book the free city shuttle at Singapore Airport Terminal 2.

Free Singapore Trip + India Plaza

Your site is really helpful.
I am also be on changi for around 9 hours to catch my connecting flight. Can I go for free Singapore tour as well as go for shopping @ India Plaza?

Do I need to apply visa for this trip?

The free tour takes you to the city and back to the airport. You are not allowed to leave during the tour to go shopping.

You need a visa for Singapore, or be exempted from the Singapore visa requirement.

2 Free Tours

Hi,

Just wonder if we can get 2x free tours - Colonial and Cultural if we schedule our transit about 10 hrs at Changi? Trying to show Singapore to my American colleague while we stop by Singapore.

Each transit passenger is entitled to one tour only. If you have 10 hours, it makes better sense to see the city yourselves - get a free map, get on the MRT and go.
