Planning a 3 Day Singapore Tour Itinerary

Hi. The three of us (me, my niece, and cousin) are going to Singapore on the 25th of March (ETA:11am) and will go back to Manila on the 28th of March (12mn). I need a little help with the itinerary.

We want to cover the ff spots:
1. Singapore Zoo (we'll probably buy the Park Hopper 3-in-1)
2. Sentosa Island
3. Merlion Park, Fountain of Wealth, and other spots near those places
4. Singapore Flyer
5. Singapore Science Centre and Snow City
6. Dinner at Clarke Quay
7. probably half a day for souvenir and/or other stuff shopping (last day)

I am going to ask my travel agent if we can extend our stay in Singapore for another day.

Please help me in making an itinerary. We MIGHT just stay for another day which means we'll leave for manila on the 28th at 11pm. Thanks!

I'd like to help you work out a 3-day Singapore tour plan. But before I go ahead, may I know how old your niece is? I'm asking because a tour plan with a 3-year-old niece will be different from a tour plan with a 13-year-old niece.

...but we can also enjoy kid's stuff. hehe.

btw, we're extending for a day. i've confirmed with my agent. our trip is from the 25th(11am) of March til the 28th(11pm).

Day 1 of Singapore Tour

here's Day 1 of a suggested Singapore tour itinerary for you:

Day 1:

12-1pm:
Arrival and check-in to hotel

Afternoon: Singapore Zoo

Journey to Singapore Zoo
Half-day at Singapore Zoo
(Must-see Shows: Splash Safari & Elephants at Work/Play)

Evening: Singapore Night Safari

6pm:
Dinner outside Night Safari:
Bongo Burgers, Ulu Ulu Restaurant, or bring your own food and drinks

7pm:
Watch the Bornean Tribal Show outside the Night Safari.

7.30pm onwards:
Singapore Night Safari
(Highlights: Tiger Enclosure, Creatures of the Night Show)

Note:

1. I'm assume that you're buying the 3-in-1 Park Hopper Ticket.

2. If you cannot check in early, leave your luggage with the hotel first.

Or you could go to the Zoo straight from the airport. The Zoo has a locker area for luggage - locker fee $3. If your luggage is too big they might be able to keep it behind their counter.

3. Some people, especially those with very young children, find Zoo + Night Safari in 1 day quite tiring. So you need to ask yourself whether you're ok with this.

The advantage is that you save on travelling, since the Zoo and Night Safari are just next to each other.

Morning: A Late Start to the Day

10am:
Singapore Flyer

Late Morning till Afternoon:
Shopping at Marina Square, Suntec City (drop by the Fountain of Wealth), Raffles City.

Evening:

1. Dinner at a Clarke Quay restaurant.

2. Walk along the Singapore River to Merlion Park, and Esplanade Boulevard. Photo opportunities abound here.

3. Collect your luggage from hotel by 8.30pm. Be at the airport by 9pm (latest 9.30pm).

Important Note!

1. On day 4, you'll have to check out early and leave your luggage with the hotel. Collect it just before you leave for the airport for your return journey.

2. If your plane leaves at 11pm. You need to be at the airport about 9pm. So work your time backwards. You should give yourself enough time to collect your luggage and get to the airport on time.

Taxi from city to airport: About 30 minutes.

(Note also that taxis are harder to find in the city on weekend evenings.)

MRT from city to airport: about 60 minutes.
