It Depends...

Hi Audrey

I assume you're asking your question in the context of taking Jack Daniels into Singapore.

Alcoholic Drinks in Check-in Luggage

You may pack Jack Daniels into your check-in luggage. But do remember that your luggage gets tossed around by the handlers.

You may take 1 litre worth of Jack Daniels through Singapore Airport duty-free. Anything above that has to be declared and duties/taxes paid.

Alcoholic Drinks in Hand-carried (Cabin) Luggage

Airlines will only allow liquid into the cabin if it's packed in a transparent bottle no larger than 100ml, and sealed in a transparent plastic bag no larger than 1 litre.

Do they pack Jack Daniels in 100ml bottles (or smaller)? If they don't, Jack Daniels will not make it into the cabin.

The only exception is if you buy your alcoholic drinks from the duty-free shops within the airport's restricted area. These shops usually pack the bottles in specially sealed bags, which airlines allow on board.
