Managing Time for the Free Singapore Tour

by Teresa
(Davao City, Philippines)

Hi Mr. Tan, we will arrive on October 26, 2009 at 11:55 pm. Is it possible for us to join the Free Singapore tour because our flight to Bangkok is 12:45 on October 27?

Thanks.

The Free Singapore Tour Organisers' Decision
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Teresa

thanks for a valid question.

I'm in no position to answer your question, since I'm not an official spokesperson for the tour organiser. The tourism board staff will have to decide.

The first free city tour of the day runs from 9am to 11am. Your flight is at 12.45pm - which means it's going to be very tight.

If your onward flight is part of a transit stopover - i.e. your luggage is transferred automatically for you and you have already got your boarding pass beforehand - I believe you stand a chance.

If your onward flight is a separate flight - i.e. you need to go through all the check in procedures again - the tourism board staff might not allow you to go on the free tour. They don't want you to miss your flight!

Another option is to go down to town on your own and make it back in time to check in.

I hope you get a good arrangement.
