Johor Tour FAQs
These are some Johor Tour FAQs sent in through our contact form. Are your questions also answered here? If not, you could scroll to the bottom of the page and ask your question about your Johor (or any Malaysian) day trip.
The following FAQs relate to the farms and fireflies you could on a farm-oriented Johor Tour.
Question:
I'd like to visit the farms described on your Johor Farm Tour page. Is it possible to see all these farms in one day?
Answer:
Yes, you can see see all these farms in one day (crocodiles, ostriches, fireflies and fruit farm). Although they are not very near to each other, they could be visited in a day's driving or on a coach tour.
Question:
Do I have to walk a lot to the farms on this Johor tour?
Answer:
If you are driving, you could drive all the way into the farms and to the Fireflies Tour jetty. Your only walking is done within the farm itself, which is not a lot.
Question:
If I don't drive, how do I visit these farms?
Answer:
The easiest way to see these farms if you don't want to drive is to book a day tour with a tour agent.
The prices usually range from S$55 to S$65 depending on what's included. Most companies generally include Desaru Fruit Farm, Ostrich Farm, shopping and dinner
at Kota Tinggi, and finally the Fireflies Boat Ride. You return to Singapore
around 11pm the same day, subject to traffic conditions at the Causeway.
There are several companies in Chinatown (People's Park Centre and the other malls around it) where you may book this tour.
It is also possible to take the Singapore-JB Express bus to Larkin Station. Once there, you may hire a taxi just to see the fireflies in Kota Tinggi, or you may persuade the driver to take you through the entire route. But you need to have very good bargaining skills! Unless you are already very familiar with the area, I don't recommend hiring a taxi for the whole tour.
