Indian Passport Holder with Stop Over at Singapore Budget Terminal

I'm coming from Jakarta to Singapore by Lion Airlines and will leave to Bangalore same day by Tiger airlines. Both are budget airlines. Do I need to clear customs and do I need a visa to collect luggage? I'm an Indian citizen.

Visa Needed for Indian Passport Holder Under Above Circumstances

Hi there

1. Lion Air uses Terminal 1 while Tiger Airways uses the Singapore Budget Terminal. These 2 terminals are not connected physically.

Therefore you need to clear customs and collect your luggage. After that, take the Skytrain from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2. Go to Terminal 2 Basement and take the free shuttle bus to Budget Terminal.

2. An Indian passport holder needs a Singapore Social Visit visa to enter Singapore. However, as visa requirements worldwide are constantly changing, you might want to call up the Singapore Overseas Mission in India for verification.

Let them know your circumstances and verify if you need a visa in advance, or if you could get one upon arrival at Singapore Airport.
