Family Vacation to Singapore - Saving on Hotel & Time

for an enjoyable family vacation to Singapore...
| Hi, I am planning to visit to singapore with my family in this Nov. I am planning to visit Sentosa, Universal Studio,Singapore Flyer, Singapore Zoo, Night Safari, Jurong Bird Park and other places. I planning to stay near Orchard Road (hotel not yet booked). Please suggest some goods hotels or hotel in some other area which may be more convinient. Should I book all 6 days in same hotel or should I take a day off at Sentosa Resort or any other place? I will be arriving early morning but check-in may be in the afternoon only, please suggest ways to spend the time. Regards, Satish |

Selecting Your Singapore Hotel
1) Orchard Road is a good location to stay for a family vacation during mid-November to December. You'll have the Christmas Light Up and lots of pre-Christmas shopping at your doorstep.
2) The MRT line runs through Orchard Road. Therefore, the 5-star hotels in Singapore Orchard Road - as well as the cheaper hotels in Orchard Road - would be a good choice for a year-end vacation in Singapore.
This means that you don't have to change hotel locations in Singapore.
Optimising Time before Hotel Check In
At Singapore Airport, there is a service called Porter Xpress. They could deliver your luggage to your hotel on your behalf - while you take a taxi to enjoy yourselves at a planned destination, such as the Bird Park or the Zoo.
You could then go to your hotel in the afternoon/evening, check in and collect your luggage from the hotel concierge.
