Electronic Goods: Cheaper in Singapore or India?

Is it worth buying a LCD TV and Mobile phone in Singapore? Which shop do you recommended? Do I have to pay any taxes or duties when I take it back to India. Or is it better to buy these in India?

I am staying at Holiday Inn Atrium.

I've never been to India and so won't be able to do a price comparison for LCD TVs and mobile phones. Perhaps, someone from India who has bought electronic goods in Singapore can help to share your experience here?
