Day Tours from Singapore Cruise Centre

Are you aware of off-ship day tours that would run from the Singapore Cruise Centre? I understand there is a shuttle from the container port where the larger ships dock to the main cruise port. Are there tours originating from there?

Day Tour Options for Cruise Passengers Arriving in Singapore

Hi Michael

1. All cruise passengers arriving in Singapore will have to clear immigration checks at the Singapore Cruise Centre (located at Harbourfront Centre).

2. From the Singapore Cruise Centre, you have a few options for Singapore day tours:

a. A Day on Sentosa Island

Take a short walk next door to Vivo City Shopping Centre. Then take the escalator to Level 3. From there, you may take the Sentosa Express(a monorail of sorts) for S$3 per person to the resort island of Sentosa.

Separate entrance fees apply for other on-island attractions such as the Sentosa Underwater World.

Here are 2 suggested itineraries for enjoying Sentosa:

i. Sentosa Tour for the Family

ii. Romantic Sentosa Tour

b. A Day at Universal Studios Singapore

Universal Studios Singapore will open in the first quarter of 2010 on Sentosa Island.

So if you arrive in April 2010, Universal Studios will be a possibility.

c. Singapore Sightseeing Pass

Take MRT from Harbourfront Station to Clarke Quay Station - a 10-minute train ride. At Clarke Quay, look out for the Hippo River Jetty. Here, you'll find a booth run by Singapore Duck Tours from 10am.

Buy their Singapore Sightseeing Pass, which currently sells at S$33 per adult and S$17 per child. The Singapore Sightseeing Pass is a great option for visitors with limited time in Singapore.

It is a flexible combination of 5 different hop-on-hop-off tours. These allow you to see/do the following:

i. the main historical and shopping spots,

ii. the ethnic quarters of Little India, Chinatown and Kampong Glam,

iii. a cruise on the Singapore River, and

iv. transfers to and from Sentosa Island.

I will be passing through the Harbourfront area in the next few days, and will update if I find any day tours that run directly from the Singapore Cruise Centre.

Optional Tour from Vivo City

I am going to take a cruise on October 20 in Star Virgo and I will arrive in spore approximately an noon...my boarding time to get the ship will be at 20.00pm....is there any optional tour for half day available on the Sentosa Island...Thanks a lot.

Hi Bonus

You don't need a guided tour on Sentosa Island. Just go to Vivo City Level 3 and ask to buy a package to the main attractions. It's easy to get around - just take the free island bus and it takes you to all the attractions.
