Regarding Buying and Smoking Cigarettes in Singapore
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi James

1. As long as you are 18 and above, you may buy cigarettes any where in Singapore. They are sold at provision shops, supermarkets, 24-hour kiosks, etc. A pack of 20 sticks costs about S$9-11.

2. There are restrictions for smoking in places where members of the public gather, e.g. you may not smoke on buses, trains, shopping malls, coffee shops and restaurants. But even in crowded places, there are often designated areas where smokers may have their fix.

Don't worry. There are many smokers in Singapore and even though I have personally heard them grouse about all these restrictions, there is no shortage of places to smoke.
