A Photo Tour of the Orchard Road Light Up

When: Evenings, 7 Nov 2009 to 3 Jan 2010

The Light Up was declared open by President S R Nathan on 7 Nov 09.
What: 5+ km of enchanting Christmas lights. Buskers. Free performaces at various locations.

Free Stage Performances by Local and Foreign Church Groups.

  - 7-11pm, 18-24 Dec 09 at:
    - Orchard Walkway
      (outside Wisma Atria & Ngee Ann City)
    - Tong Building
    - Tangs Plaza
    - The Paragon Shopping Centre
- Interactive Christmas Village @ Plaza Singapore
- Christmas Day Grand Concert
  - Performances and spontaneous carolling on Orchard Road.
  - The section of Orchard Road between Scotts Road and Bideford Road will be closed to vehicles for this concert.
  - Photo opportunity at the 7 Christmas floats on Orchard Road.
  - Gifts and acts of kindness to invited charities.
  - Concert duration: 3pm - 11pm.

Christmas Day Performances

Parade of Christmas Floats from Orchard Road to Heartland Towns.
- Nightly from 18-25 December 2009.
- The floats will be parked along Orchard Road near the Christmas Grand Concert for photo-taking from 3pm on Christmas Day.
Best Dressed Building Competition among Orchard Road Malls.

Venue: Fountain Foyer @ The Singapore Flyer.
Daily shows at 5pm and 8pm, 5-30 Dec 09.
Miscellaneous performances at other times.
By famous magicians, as well as apprentices.
Free admission!

Magic-type Performances at Read Bridge
- Enjoy unique performances on this bridge connecting Clarke Quay to Swissotel Merchant Court Hotel:
  - Santarina bellydancers
  - The Funky Carollers
  - fireflys: dance + fire!

  - 11, 12, 18 & 19 of December 2009. 6pm onwards.
- Street Performances @ Clarke Quay
