Orchard Road Christmas Light Up - Blue fairy lights over Orchard Road.

Christmas in Singapore 2008 was a great treat for visitors, especially those who came with young children.

Just look at these offerings...

  1. Orchard Road was lit up Christmas in Singapore 2008 and buskers were also out in force on Orchard Road.

  2. Visitors to Singapore were treated to a free open-top bus tour.

    • Note: This free bus tour will not be offered in 2009.
    • Instead, it is run by a tour company for a fee.
    • Check with the Visitors' Centre upon arrival at Singapore Airport.

  3. Parade of Christmas Floats from Orchard Road to Heartland Towns.

    • Nightly from 19-25 December 2008.

  4. Free performances @ Christmas in Singapore 2008:

    • Carolling, Dances, Mimes, Songs by Church Groups along Orchard Road at:

        • Groups from Australia, Brazil, Hawaii, New Zealand and Taiwan

  1. Free tours were offered in 2008 to children with accompanying paying adults at numerous animal parks, museums and guided tours. For tourists only and subjected to conditions.

  2. Freebies @ Parties

    • Complimentary entry, 1-for-1 drinks, and other freebies were offered to tourists and many watering holes and restaurants.

  3. Late night shopping at the following malls:

    • Vivo City
    • Marina Square
