- Orchard Road was lit up Christmas in Singapore 2008 and buskers were also out in force on Orchard Road.
- Visitors to Singapore were treated to a free open-top bus tour.
- Note: This free bus tour will not be offered in 2009.
- Instead, it is run by a tour company for a fee.
