Can Singapore Airport Tax be Redeemed?

I am transiting in Changi Airport to HK. My flight arrive in Changi at 8.15am from Malaysia with Malaysia Airlines and leaving Singapore at 11.15am with Cathay Pacific Airways. How can I claim the airport tax since it is included in the ticket?

Airport Tax is Payable

Hi Billy

If your Singapore-Hong Kong flight is on a separate ticket from your Malaysia-Singapore flight, you need to pay airport tax for both your embarkation airports, i.e. at the Malaysian airport and at Singapore Airport.

If your flight Malaysia-Singapore-Hong Kong is a code-share between Malaysian Airlines and Cathay Pacific, it's likely that Singapore is your transit stopover. In this case, you still need to pay the airport tax for your departure from the Malaysian airport.

In either case, it's likely that only the relevant airport tax is included in the fare.
