Buying Duty Free Alcohol at Two Airports

by Sukumaran
(Singapore)

Hi, I am in Dubai now for a 5-day business trip.

Please advice me on my question:

Can I buy 1 bottle liquor and 1 bottle of wine from Dubai Airport duty free shop and also buy same 1 bottle each from Singapore Airport duty free shop with my 1 passport???

Am I allowed to bring into Singapore a total of 2 bottles of liquor and 2 bottles of wine (1 each from Dubai & Singapore)?

Please advice on my Qs above. Thank you.

Regards,
Sukumaran.K

Duty Free Allowance is Fixed at 1 Litre of Each
by: Gabriel Tan

Hi Sukumaran

It doesn't matter where you buy the duty-free alcohol. Nor in how many bottles.

The duty-free allowance per passenger at Singapore Airport is 1 litre of spirit, 1 litre of wine and 1 litre of beer.

If you have 2 X 750ml bottles of wine while clearing customs, you would have exceeded the duty free allowance and be liable to pay duty. The same applies for liquor and beer.
