Business & Pleasure Trip to Singapore
|Hi Gabriel, I and my 2 children ( aged 22 and 19 yo) are going to Singapore this Sep 9-16. I will have a training on Sep 14-15 so I will spend 3.5 days for the tour. |
Then during my training, my children will just find time to stroll around Singapore. Can you help me please with tour plan for those 3.5 days.
We will arrive Singapore on Sep 9 - 2355hr and will be staying with my nieces then we will transfer to our hotel on Sep 13.
And what can you suggest for my children to do during my 2-day training? Would really appreciate your help as this will be our first time in Singapore and first trip abroad for my children.
For the first 3.5 days of your trip to Singapore, you could enjoy the following activities together:DAY 1 - SENTOSA ISLAND
This Sentosa Day Trip
- though written with kids in mind - is family-friendly and can be enjoyed by adults as well.DAY 2 - HEARTLAND TOWN, SINGAPORE ZOO & NIGHT SAFARI
Take the MRT together to Ang Mo Kio Station. Exit and have a walk-about of Ang Mo Kio town centre. There's nice local food to be sampled and surprising shopping finds at AMK Hub (mall) and the mum-and-pap shorts in the plaza surrounding it.
After lunch, take bus 138 from Ang Mo Kio Bus Interchange to the Singapore Zoo
, have fun, and when evening comes, hop over next door to the Singapore Night Safari
Take a taxi back to your accommodation.DAY 3 - MARINA BAY, SINGAPORE RIVER & CLARKE QUAY
Have a morning ride on the Singapore Flyer. Then lose yourselves among the Marina Bay malls, where there are excellent restaurants and food courts to lunch at.
Thereafter take in the sights along the Singapore River
- perhaps incorporating a walking tour of the River
and a sundown Singapore River cruise
Later, enjoy dinner at one of the Clarke Quay restaurants.
(Note: Your visit co-incide with the Singapore Lantern Festival
. You'll find the Singapore River (around Clarke Quay) nicely decorated with huge lanterns and bustling with festive activities.)DAY 4 - LITTLE INDIA & CHINATOWN
Go on a shopping or walking tour of both Little India
Your young-adult children may then enjoy the following on their own:DAY 5 - UNIVERSAL STUDIOS
Enjoy the rides and shows at Universal Studios Singapore.DAY 6 - BIKING AT UBIN ISLAND
Pack food and drinks. Then:
a) Take the MRT to Tanah Merah Station.
b) Change to Bus no. 2 and head for Changi Village.
(Confirm direction with bus driver when boarding.)
c) Take the bumboat ($2.50 per pax) from Changi Point Ferry Terminal to Pulau Ubin (offshore island).
d) Get a map from the visitors' centre, rent a bike and explore the rustic island, which is a throwback to what Singapore was like some 30 years ago.
