Best Bars to See the Singapore Skyline

I arrived last night and went to the New Asia Bar on the 71st floor of Swissotel the Stamford - great views. Wondering if there are any other night spots to check out the views? Someone told me about a bar/restaraunt with floors that slope downwards Sounds scary?

A Few Night Spots to See the Skyline

Hi Sarah

Apart from the New Asia Bar, there are a few other night spots overlooking the Singapore skyline. Obviously, the views will vary.

1. Orgo

Where: Roof Terrace, Esplanade Theatres
Reservations: +65 63369366

This roof-top bar offers views over the Marina Bay, the CBD and the curiously spiky roofs of the Esplanade Theatre. You could choose to chill out al fresco or in one of those glass encasements.

2. Axis Bar & Lounge

Where: Mandarin Oriental Hotel Singapore
Reservations: +65 6885 3098

Soothing music. Cosy lounge chairs. Air-con comfort. With yet another angle of the Singapore skyline - though no where as high up as the New Asia Bar.

3. Indochine Waterfront Restaurant

Where: Asian Civilisations Museum
Reservations: +65 6339 1720

Ask for a table on the raised terrace facing the Singapore River. You'll see the river-cruise boats going up and downriver. Across the river, the skyscrapers rise spectacularly in the CBD.

4. Breeze

Where: The Scarlet Hotel
Reservations: +65 6511 3323

A romantic roof-top restaurant-bar in a boutique hotel. Located in a charming part of Chinatown. The views mainly sweep over Chinatown, with glimpses of the city skyline in the background.

Enjoy gazing over the Singapore skyline!
