Affordable Singapore Hotels Near MRT Stations

Hi Gabriel,

It's me Jeremy again. This time I'd like to ask about Singapore hotels.

I'm looking for a hotel that is near to the MRT, so that we can access the rest of Singapore easily. I'm looking for a hotel that is nice and clean. My budget is S$150 per night. I hope you can help me on that.

Singapore Hotels Near MRT Station for About S$150

For $150 per night, a few hotels come to mind. The following Singapore hotels are near MRT stations:

Around Orchard Road

1. YWCA Fort Canning Lodge

YWCA Fort Canning Lodge is 5 minutes' walk to Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. It's on the edge of the Orchard Road shopping belt.

2. Royal Plaza on Scotts Hotel Singapore
This 5-star hotel seems to have reduced their rates during this downturn. When I did a check, their rates were just above $150! So it might be worth paying just a bit more for that extra luxury.

This hotel is 3 minutes' walk from Orchard MRT Station.

Near City Hall MRT

Check out Victoria Hotel Singapore.

This hotel was renovated recently and have received positive reviews. A few guests say that the rooms aren't very big. (These are probably people used to paying for larger hotel rooms.)

But the rates for Victoria Hotel are around S$100. And it is in a very central location. It is 5-10 minutes' walk to both Bugis MRT and City Hall MRT.

For a budget hotel smack in the city centre, you could try Victoria Hotel.

Another cluster worth looking at are these budget hotels in Singapore's Little India.

Of these 3 budget hotels in Little India, the one nearest to the MRT is Hotel 81 Selegie.
