Hi Karen
I feel there are too many activities in your itinerary. Here is my counter-suggestion for a more leisurely 5-day Singapore tour, with re-arrangements to cut down on backtrack-travel:
DAY 1 - Orchard Road & Singapore River
Orchard Road
- Ice Cream ‘Uncles’
- Chocolate Research Facility
- Clarke Quay: shop, eat by the riverside!
In the evening, you could all take a leisurely walk along the Singapore River all the way to the Marina Bay area for some photo-taking.
DAY 2 - An Entire Day at Sentosa Island
- Universal Studios
- Underwater World & Dolphin Lagoon
- Songs of the Sea
On the way back to your hotel, you could stop over at Lau Pa Sat Festival Market for supper. Seafood and satay (skewered meats) are highly recommended here. (Nearest MRT: Raffles Place)
DAY 3 - Little India
Explore Little India, including shopping at Mustafa Centre.
DAY 4 - Chinatown
- Red Dot Museum
- Singapore City Gallery
- Books Actually
- Chinatown Heritage Centre
- Chinatown Street Market
- Eu Yan Sang
- Chinatown Food Street – go at night; Smith Street.
There are 3 very good hawkers' centres in Chinatown:
- Maxwell Road Food Centre,
- Chinatown Complex Food Centre, and
- People's Park Food Centre.
If you fancy chicken rice, you'll find lots of good stalls here.
DAY 5 - Home Sweet Home
Last minute shopping and proceed to airport.
Enjoy a delightful Singapore tour with your family.
