Hi Andy

About Using Public Transport Combinations

I have deleted all the detailed descriptions of your movements using public transport.

This being a honeymoon tour in Singapore, I strongly suggest you spend a bit more money on your transport - take the taxi. The combination of walking, taking buses, changing to trains, and route-planning will take the fun out of your trip.

The only form of public transport you might want to consider is the MRT, especially for attractions in the city area.

Here are the suggested changes to your original Singapore tour itinerary:

Day 1 - Singapore City Centre Highlights

After checking into your hotel - or at least leaving your luggage there - head down to the Marina Bay area by MRT (MRT stations: either Promenade or Esplanade).

Check out the malls around the MRT stations. Then proceed to the Esplanade Waterfront and Merlion Park, from where you could start your Singapore River bumboat tour.

For dinner, St Pierre Restaurant is a nice lovely walk along the river from Merlion Park to Central Mall near Clarke Quay.

Day 2 - Universal Studios, Sentosa & Cable Car Ride

Head straight to Resorts World Sentosa in the morning.

Transport:
MRT to Harbourfront Station > Walk to Vivo City (Level 3) > Sentosa Express to Resorts World.

Spend substantial time at Universal Studios.

Then hop over to Underwater World, Dolphin Lagoon, Songs of the Sea.

If you plan on taking a cable car ride in the evening, it could be:

a) a return trip to Sentosa, or

b) a one-way trip to Mount Faber.

A nice way to end the day is to have late dinner or supper at The Jewel Box on Mount Faber.

Day 3 - Singapore Science Centre, Jurong Bird Park & Night Safari

Morning: Singapore Science Centre

Afternoon: Jurong Bird Park

Evening: Singapore Night Safari

For commuting between these attractions, I strongly recommend using the taxi.

Day 4 - Chinatown

Take the MRT to Chinatown Station.

Sample local food at the People's Park Food Centre. Explore the side streets - Smith Street, Temple Street, Pagoda Street - where you can drop by the Chinatown Heritage Centre.

Then cross over South Bridge Road, go up Ann Siang Hill, and head down to Telok Ayer Street to check out Thian Hock Keng Temple.

(Get a free city map from the airport's Visitors' Centre. It will be very useful for getting around Chinatown.)

If you still have time, you could take the MRT to Bras Basah Station and visit the National Museum.

Have a good honeymoon tour in Singapore.
